Contact & Communications

It’s important that we have clear communication for our work together to be as smooth as possible. The best way to reach me is by email. I respond to emails within 1-3 hours with the exception of days I’m at the hospital. On these days it may be longer before I respond. But I ensure you that I’ll reply before the day’s end.

Project Discussion & Client Questionnaire

Most clients want to know my rates prior to diving into a detailed discussion about the project. If you would like to receive a quote, then I need to know the scope of work. I will email a scope of work form for you to fill out. Once I receive this document, I can provide a quote based on your specific project requirements.

Once I understand the scope of work, and we’ve agreed to a project fee, we can schedule a 20-30 minute phone or Skype conversation to review detailed information about your company and customer profile and our collaboration together. I can field any other questions you have as well.

Following our call, I will draft and send you an agreement. If your legal team has an agreement, we can use that.

Investment & Getting Started

The agreement will contain all the specifics of our work together, including deadlines and investment. (Note: I require 50% of the project total to begin. I will send an invoice following the agreement.) Once we have both signed the agreement, I will begin work on the project.

Method

Based on the specifics of your project, I will begin the writing process. If your work contains research, then I will start research immediately using peer-reviewed journals and other forms of reputable sites for information. I gather all the information required, read and break down the information, develop an outline, and then write and edit the project.

During the editing phase, I structure the copy according to SEO best practices and source images as needed and apply necessary keyword titles and associated alt texts. Finally, I embed references within the body of the project and create an APA (or otherwise noted style) formatted reference list.

Review

Once I have completed the project, I’ll send it to you for final review. I am available for edits and revisions as needed. I want you to be happy. So we will make changes until you’re happy.

Final Feedback & New Projects

If this is our only project together, I’ll send a final feedback survey, or we will have a discussion by phone. It’s important for me to understand how I can improve my processes, and your feedback is crucial. We can also discuss moving forward on other projects as needed.
